Mick O’Shea lives and works in Cork city and is a founder-member of Gaitkrash Theatre Company. He is a member and director of the Cork Artists Collective and The Guesthouse and has been instrumental in establishing a vibrant and growing sound art scene in Cork city His work springs from his fundamental experience in drawing which influences his approach to sound, sculpture, and food.
He has performed with various sound artists and composers such as Mel Mercier, Rhodri Davies, The Quiet Music Ensemble, John Godfrey, Pauline Oliveros, Karen Power, Steve Roden, Damo Suzuki, David Toop, Danny McCarthy, Stephen Vitiello and Jennifer Walshe and has exhibited nationally and internationally.
